AMANDA SCHMUTZ, DIRECTOR OF COACHING - GIRLS
Amanda Schmutz is a Las Vegas native with over 20 years of coaching experience at all levels. She attended the University of Utah where she studies Sports Science and Sports Psychology and was a defender for the Swoop distinguishing herself during her collegiate career as Best Defensive Player, Captain and Most Inspirational Player.
Upon returning to Las Vegas in 2005, Schmutz embarked on her coaching career with the same determination she displayed on the field. She is universally regarded by her peers and by soccer families as one of the most effective college placement coaches in the Southwest United States. In the past five years alone - as an ECNL Co-Director - she has sent over 100 players into the college ranks. As the only female coach in Nevada to hold a USSF A License, Schmutz is one of the most sought after coaches and trainers in the country. Her former players can currently be found at many top college conferences including Big 10, PAC 12, SEC and Ivy League.
Schmutz joined ALBION SC Las Vegas in early 2017 to develop and lead its college placement platform. With access to the U.S. Developmental Academy Program through ALBION SC San Diego (who recently crossed the $51 million milestone in college scholarships for its players), Schmutz and ALBION SC Las Vegas have become a leader in college placement of Las Vegas soccer players. Amanda currently holds a U.S. Soccer Federation "A" License.
Amanda and her husband Craig are parents to Tegan (ALBION SC Las Vegas G06 GA) and Bryn (ALBION SC Las Vegas G07 GA).
